  Entries can be made by employers or by providers, advisers or consultants on behalf of their employer clients.

• General Entry Tips

  • The judges will be looking for proof that you have produced an award-winning entry. They will be using three key main criteria when it comes to judging the awards. They will examine the appropriateness of the strategy and objectives in relation to the workforce; the degree of innovation involved, either for the employer concerned, the sector or the benefits industry in general; and the results achieved.
   
  • Please ensure that you read the How to Enter and the Conditions of Entry sections (below) before completing the relevant Category Entry Form/s. Once completed, the Category Entry Form/s should be uploaded during the online entry process.
   
  • The word counts on each Category Entry Form are simply a guide, but the overall word count on this document must NOT exceed 2,000.
   
  • If you are entering the same scheme into a number of categories, please complete the relevant form for each and ensure you have tailored the entry specifically to each category.

• Entry Tips for Providers, Advisers and Consultants Entering on Behalf of Employer Clients

  • In addition to the points listed under the general entry tips, the judges will be looking for entries that really get under the skin of an employer in terms of why a scheme was appropriate for that particular organisation. What made a scheme / strategy unique to that organisation?

  • Entries should not simply focus on the products or systems that were used. Winning entries will demonstrate an organisation’s wider benefits or reward strategy and explain how any products used were appropriate within this context.

  • Encourage the employer to provide input into the entry. They may be able to provide additional information that can contribute to its success.

  • Ensure the employer is aware that the entry is being submitted.

• Conditions of Entry

  
  

  1. Strategies/schemes that were running at any time during 2011 are eligible for entry. They could have been running for a number of years, or launched during 2011.
  
  2. Entries will not be accepted for judging unless the correct Category Entry Form is uploaded.
  
  3. Entries where the word count exceeds 2,000 words will be disqualified.
  
  4. Please note that if your entry is shortlisted, the information in your written submission may be included in any supporting materials for the Awards, such as in the Award Winners Supplement or Employee Benefits magazine, or used at the Awards ceremony.
  
  5. We do not charge an entry fee for employers and our 2012 awards sponsors.
  For all other benefits consultants, advisers and providers entering on behalf of employer clients, there will be a £299 fee for their first entry and a £159 fee for each subsequent submission.
  
  6. Centaur Events are not responsible for retaining any supporting material for collection, unless the entrant specifically requests this by email before 5.30pm on Friday 13th January 2012.
  
  7. Entries may be withdrawn for any reason up until 5.30pm on Friday 13th January 2012. To withdraw an entry, please email – lucy.jones@centaur.co.uk

• How to Enter

  
  

  1. Please ensure that you have read the Conditions of Entry (above) prior to submitting your entry/ies.
  
  2. Please download and complete one Category Entry Form for each entry you submit (using the correct form).
  Please note if you are entering the same scheme into a number of categories, please complete the relevant form for each and ensure you have tailored the entry specifically to each category.
  
  3. Return to the website and complete your details on the Submit an Entry page, before selecting the category/ies, completing the entry details and uploading the relevant Category Entry Form for each.

  4. Please make sure that you have completed the charity donation section on the Submit an Entry page if you wish to make a donation to Samaritans. Please send your cheque (made payable to ‘Samaritans’) to:

  5. In order to submit your entry/ies for review by the judges you must tick each entry and press 'Submit and Pay' (see note below re: amendments as these must be made prior to submission)
  
  Prior to 'submitting your entry/ies' you may leave and return to the site to edit your entries. Once registered as an entrant you will receive an email detailing your chosen password along with a link that will enable you to return to your unsubmitted entries and edit as necessary. Once ready to submit return to step 4 and complete the process.
  
  Please ensure you click the 'logout' button before leaving the site (your entries will be saved).
  
  Entries may be edited up until the point of submission; all submissions must be made by Friday 13th January 2012. Please note only submitted entries will proceed to the judging stage. Entries will not be considered fully submitted until you have proceeded to the payment stage and selected a payment method.
  
  IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO AMEND OR SUBMIT ENTRIES AFTER FRIDAY 13th JANUARY 2012.
  
  6. Select a payment method and press 'Proceed to Payment'
  
  7. Your entry/ies will now be considered submitted and the rules of entry will apply
  
  8. If you wish to submit any material to support your entry please ensure that you upload this with your written submission.
  
  9. Please ensure that you upload the employer’s company logo and an image to represent the campaign (as an Illustrator EPS or a JPEG of at least 300 DPI).
  
  Please note that if you do not upload an image to support your entry, Employee Benefits reserve the right to use stock images when referring to the entry in the Awards Supplement, if relevant.
  
  10. If you are entering on behalf of another company or have worked with another company on a project referred to in the entry, please ensure you have gained their approval before submitting your entry.
